About this project
Cortextual is an AI-powered enterprise knowledge platform designed to connect information from multiple business systems and make organizational knowledge accessible through intelligent search and AI-powered conversations. Web Foundation contributed to the engineering and development of the platform, including its SaaS architecture, enterprise integrations, data synchronization, permission-aware knowledge access and AI/RAG capabilities.
The Solution
Cortextual brings company knowledge from multiple business platforms into a unified environment where employees can discover information and interact with it through AI. The platform integrates with systems including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Notion, HubSpot and other enterprise tools. Information is synchronized and processed so users can access relevant organizational knowledge without searching across multiple systems individually.
Technical Implementation
The platform combines retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with enterprise data synchronization and permission-aware retrieval. A key engineering challenge was building integrations capable of continuously processing information from different external systems while preserving appropriate access permissions. The architecture includes document processing, search and retrieval, AI-powered conversations, background processing, APIs, team and group management, and synchronization infrastructure for connected data sources.
